Legal Assistant - CorporateDowntown TorontoHybrid Work From Home Available Two Days a Week
Our client, a well known and established law firm located steps from Union Station is hiring! They are looking for a legal administrative assistant to support two corporate partners.
In this role you will use your strong organization skills, eye for detail and excellent proofreading skills to assist in the smooth running of these practices.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assist with a large volume of corporate transactions
- Completion of corporate and minute book documents
- Diarize and track deadlines
- Compile Record Books at the completion of the transactions
- Handle all administrative details with respect to accounting, expenses, wires, opening and closing files, docketing, billing, book meetings and boardrooms etc.
Qualifications:- Minimum five years’ previous experience as a Corporate legal assistant
- Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk program
- Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands
- Excellent attention to detail, proofreading skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
Skills:
- Microsoft 365 Suite of Applications
- Strong technical skills with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documents
- Familiarity with iManage or a document management system
- Experience using DocuSign would be an asset
- Proficient with Closing Folders
