Our client, a highly regarded and well established law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto is growing! They are looking for a Family Legal Assistant to join its growing team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling appointments, hearings and conferences
- Answering phone calls and emails and responding to inquiries in a timely manner
- Collecting documents and information from clients
- Compiling legal documents for court proceedings including filing and service of documents
- Preparing Financial Statements, Certificates of Financial Disclosure
- Preparation of correspondence with strong proofreading and formatting skills
- Perform various administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must have good organizational skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Be highly organized and work as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft office, Adobe and DivorceMate
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of the Rules relating to filing/service and familiarity with Rules and Practice Directions of the courts
