Family Legal Assistant
Downtown Toronto

Two Days Work From Home!

This role is available because of a promotion!

Our client, a highly regarded and well established law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto is growing! They are looking for a Family Legal Assistant to join its growing team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling appointments, hearings and conferences
  • Answering phone calls and emails and responding to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Collecting documents and information from clients
  • Compiling legal documents for court proceedings including filing and service of documents
  • Preparing Financial Statements, Certificates of Financial Disclosure
  • Preparation of correspondence with strong proofreading and formatting skills
  • Perform various administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have good organizational skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be highly organized and work as part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft office, Adobe and DivorceMate
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Rules relating to filing/service and familiarity with Rules and Practice Directions of the courts
