Litigation Legal Assistant

Toronto, ON

ALL REMOTE WORK!

Our client, a highly regarded law firm, is adding a litigation legal assistant to its team.

Responsibilities:

  • providing general assistance to two lawyers
  • assisting in preparation of documents such as pleadings, motions, notices, affidavits, affidavits of documents, court orders, and mediation briefs
  • preparing basic correspondence
  • court filing and service
  • communicating with clients
  • managing administrative tasks, including opening and closing of files, time entry, scheduling of appointments and coordinating meetings
  • other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
  • Legal Assistant or Law Clerk Diploma from a recognized school
  • Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Must have dedicated office space and a secure, reliable internet connection

Skills:

  • Employment law experience preferred
  • Proficiency with technology such as Google Workspace, Clio (Manage, Grow, Draft), MS Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication

This is an outstanding opportunity to work with top tier professionals in their field. This is all remote role. Approximately five in office meetings a year.
