Legal Assistant - Litigation
Downtown Toronto
Our client, a full service law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto is in need of a Litigation Legal Assistant to join its team. This is a full time permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operation of a civil litigation practice.
- Prepare, edit and complete all necessary correspondence and documentation
- Assist with the finalization of various litigation documents for Civil, Divisional and Court of Appeal including but not limited to: motion records, pleadings, notices, affidavits, affidavits of documents and bill of costs
- Handle daily administrative details
- Arrange meetings and calendar management
Requirements:
- Three to five years previous experience as a Legal Assistant in Litigation
- Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program
- Excellent knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Microsoft 365 Suite of Applications
