Administrative Assistant - Legal
Downtown Toronto
Our client, a high end and well known law firm, located in the core of downtown Toronto, seeks an AdministrativeAssistant with a strong legal background in corporate and litigation. This is a fast paced and busy role supporting a senior partners with all legal administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the daily administrative operation of a partner in corporate/labour and Employment litigation.
- Handle the onboarding of clients and perform conflict checks
- Provide client collections reminders and update reports
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents for review
- Provide daily calendar update and facilitate communication between partner and clients
- Provide full administrative support with respect to correspondence diarizing events, delivering letters, opening and closing files, docketing, billing, calendar management, filing etc
Requirements:
- 3 years minimum experience working as a legal administrative assistant
- Successful completion of a community college level legal Assistant or Law Clerk program
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
- Organized, keen eye for detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to problem solve, strong interpersonal skills, organized, able to multitask and manage a high volume of emails and work requests.
