Legal Assistant – Corporate

North Toronto

Currently working remotely

Post pandemic will have the option to work either full time in the office or a hybrid arrangement of both remote and in office

Our client, a dynamic and innovative law firm located in North Toronto requires a  Legal Assistant to join its growing team. This is a new role in the firm!

In this exciting new position, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of professionals in the areas of corporate commercial, securities and trademarks.

Duties and responsibilities will include providing administrative support and on-going office management including billing, scheduling, calendar management and event planning. In addition, you will have the opportunity to prepare and maintain corporate records, including by-laws, resolutions, registers, and ledgers. You will also learn how to prepare and file articles and corporate documentation relating to simple/complex/incorporations, partnerships, organizations and amendments.

A minimum of three years of legal assistant experience working in a corporate law firm practice is necessary along with excellent administrative and organizational skills.

Additional skills required include a working knowledge of Cyberbahn and a proficiency in legal, cloud based (electronic signature platforms), G-Suite (Google Docs, Gmail) and Microsoft 365 software (OneDrive, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
