Job Description

The Lincoln Group has partnered with a client who is seeking CNAs on a per diem basis to assist with coverage at their facility.

Type of Hire: Per Diem
Title: CNA
Location: Greater Amarillo Area
Work Schedule: Per Diem
Compensation: $20-22/hr. (Mileage reimbursement as well)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Assist patients with tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen levels.
• Report any health concerns to nurses and other medical staff, and serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients who may be feeling lonely, anxious, or frustrated.
• Ensure patients' rooms are clean and stocked with necessary items, including medical supplies and personal toiletries.
• Administer prescribed medications as directed by the healthcare team.
• Change dressings and assist with basic wound care as needed.
• Assist in setting up medical equipment such as oxygen, IVs, or portable X-ray machines.
• Support healthcare providers during minor medical procedures.
• Accurately document patient intake and output, as well as any changes in condition or concerns.
• Monitor for signs of injury, such as bruising, blood in urine, or other physical abnormalities.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Active CNA certification
• Compassionate and empathetic, with a strong desire to help others
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a healthcare team
• Ability to travel to various locations within the San Antonio area
• Flexibility with shifts and assignments
