kpCompanies is seeking a results driven, smart-working Recruitment Consultant Who is a goal-oriented go-getter with a strong desire to succeed and has ridiculous discipline to join our team. This position requires high-energy, and self-motivation with a passion for helping our clients diversify their teams by continuing the kpC tradition of inclusive sourcing. A recruiter at kpC thrives within a team environment, is confident, organized, knowledgeable, a constant learner and excellent listener. They must have a strong value system that prioritizes integrity and honesty above all else. They must be intellectually curious, and thrive on learning about new industries, companies, and staying on top of business trends. This is a dynamic individual who appreciates our brand promise and is excited about serving our candidates and clients the kpC way. 

This is a Contract position that will report directly to the Director of Operations.

kpCompanies is currently supporting a remote work environment for this role; however, we also have office spaces throughout the Twin Cities Metro area through our Coworking office to support a flexible hybrid work option if that's your thing.


Our ideal candidate can:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, including new clients and search partners.
  • Partner with existing and new clients as a consultant for their business needs.
  • Create and execute multi-channel strategies to source candidates that meet client profile and/or build talent pools for current and future engagements.
  • Draft documents such as Confidential candidate profiles and skills matrix reports.
  • Engage in client discovery meetings with partners to develop a search strategy and market mapping.
  • Gather information from client and/or through industry research and sources to gain comprehensive understanding of the client’s organization, industry and role requirements.
  • Recruit/attract qualified candidates for employment through initial sourcing and through the full-cycle recruiting process.
  • Utilize professional networking sites, associations and sources to identify and source potential candidates.
  • Screen all resumes for qualifications and position requirements. 
  • Conduct preliminary interviews of qualified candidates and guide exceptional candidates through our Exceptional Talent Match Process™.
  • Provide solid career consulting, when necessary, counsel on career paths, resume writing, interview prep and ways to achieve long-term professional goals.
  • Present qualified candidates to our clients and assist in conducting in-depth interviews to further assess qualifications and culture add for the role and organization.
  • Develop content for weekly search progress reports to present to clients.
  • Support Candidates in defining search parameters, presenting outstanding opportunities, shepherding through the interview and offer process and continue to be an ally and sounding board long after the search is over.
  • Constantly adding value to clients by proactively educating them on the market, helping to define roles, responsibilities, level setting and job requirements. Advise on compensation trends & strategies as well as structuring departments.
  • Constantly building a relationship as a trusted advisor – not merely a vendor.
  • Earn Client & Candidate loyalty through superior delivery, service, integrity, and responsiveness.
  • Maintain the accuracy, quality and integrity of all search information in the kpC database.
  • Demonstrate growing industry knowledge and keep patterns abreast of relevant trends and challenges in the marketplace with regards to business development activities and general market intelligence.

Has the following Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years recruitment, sourcing, sales, customer service or other relevant professional experience. Executive search experience preferred.
  • Previous experience servicing, supporting, developing, and/or generating new business client relationships/accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams.
  • General business acumen and understanding of business functions (e.g HR, Finance, Operations, etc.)
  • Detail oriented and able to consistently produce high quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
