Project/Program:
DMV Transformation
The Expert Project Manager will provide Project Management support for DMV Transformation.
Day-to-Day:
Project managers will perform a full range of project management tasks as defined by the NYS Project Management Guidebook, R2, and will include:
1. Allocation, estimation, and reporting of project resources;
2. Identification and maintenance of critical path and contingencies;
3. Utilization of formal project change control process;
4. Identification, monitoring, control, and mitigation planning of project risks;
5. Creation and management of project documentation including but not limited to scope statement, schedule, budget, quality plan, risks, issues, and communication plan;
6. Establishment of project team roles and responsibilities;
7. Facilitation of regular status meetings with project team to monitor project health and progress;
8. Creation of weekly and monthly status reports to communicate project status to all levels of stakeholders including executives, sponsors, and management;
9. Facilitation of sponsor and executive level meetings;
10. Provide guidance of projects with 20 or more project participants.
Mandatory Requirements:
Project Manager - Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
Expert - 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field
Requested Requirements:
- 84 months of experience managing projects in a state or federal government environment.
- 36 months of active PMP certification through PMI (must be current).
- 84 months of experience in the creation of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and project communications for 2 or more years functional projects.
- 84 months of experience in the creation of project management scopes, business cases, and/or project plans for 2 or more years functional projects.
- 84 months of experience in project management maintaining and managing a 2 or more years functional project schedule including milestones and resources.
- 84 months of experience using one or more of the following Project Methodologies; Waterfall, Agile, Kanban, Scrum and Lean.
