Job Description

The position is held at Five Points Residential Mental Health Unit, which is part of the Office of Mental Health(OMH). OMH provides mental health services to forensic patients. Candidate will be required to submit of TB testing and recent flu shot. May have contact with incarcerated individuals. Candidate will be also subject to CNYPC orientation.

Approx. 40 hours/week(M-F). Exact shift/hours to be discussed during interview.

Contract staff would mainly be working weekdays and assisting in providing therapeutic services to patients in a primary therapist role to include individual therapy and the completion of mental health assessments and documentation (Core History, Suicide Assessments/risk assessments, Weekly/Monthly Progress Notes, Treatment Plans, Discharge Plans), according to policy and procedure. Group facilitation will also be part of the expectations.

Possession of a license and current registration as a Licensed Master Social Worker(LMSW) in New York is required

Positions may be renewed for up to two years.
