Project/Program: New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS)

Job Description: 

Two candidates will support data exchange and data quality efforts for NYSIIS, including onboarding of providers to New York State Implementation Guide for HL7 version 2.5.1 Immunization Messages and verifying message compliance to the national ONC Meaningful Use requirements for electronic submission of immunization data.

Day to Day:

The BA’s will be responsible for:
(1) maintaining and updating ACCESS programs on data exchange between NYSIIS and providers; (2) reviewing data exchanges from providers for data quality and timeliness; (3) providing techncial assistance on data exhanges (HL7 messages) to enhance interoperability of NYSIIS with electronic health records used by health care practices across New York State; and (4) conduct analysis required to examine compliance.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Business Analyst: Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.

Senior: 60 - 84 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.

Requested Qualifications:

- 60 months experience in SQL/SQL TOAD.
- 60 months experience with Excel.
- 60 months experience in messaging standards (XML, X12, etc.)
- 60 months experience in HL7 messaging related to immunization data.
- 60 months experience in data quality analysis of immunization data.
- 60 months experience in customer support/guidance.
- Bachelor’s Degree
