Job Description:

This Nutritionist position will be required to review and evaluate the food service operation and nutrition components of childcare centers, after school programs, day care homes, and adult day care participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in the NYS Metropolitan Region. This Nutritionist position will conduct on-site program reviews to evaluate food service activities and provide training and technical assistance on CACFP record keeping, meal planning and program regulations to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations. This position will not supervise.

Desired Experience:
• Conducting program monitoring to ensure compliance with Federal regulations in the Metropolitan NY region.
• Providing nutrition program guidance and technical assistance.
• Conducting training related to menu planning, food service operations and maintaining required records consistent with the Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working for a federally funded child nutrition program, such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
• Experience analyzing results of on-site reviews and preparing written reports on a wide range of nutrition related tasks to support contracted operations.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Programs in addition to an online payment processing system such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program Information and Payment System, and management storage systems such as, Docstar eFile Management Software.
