Software Architect-Expert
Support and enhancement of the DOH ISTOP system to ensure
compliance with the I-STOP legislation.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:Staff will perform Middleware System architecture, design and
implementation tasks in Oracle Fusion Middleware and IBM
WebSphere platforms. Duties also include routine Systems
administration, other Middleware platform System architecture design,
maintenance tasks on Red Hat Linux, and AIX operating systems.
• Work with clients to architect, design and build latest WebLogic and
WebSphere middleware platforms. Consolidate legacy systems to
newer ( Nor N-1) platforms per ITS standards ,On-board, configure and
maintain the WLS 12c and 14c environments in the Linux Operating
System.
• Work with the DOH agency to develop, support and maintain the IBM
WAS 9 ND FileNet platform for Enterprise Content management.
Perform WAS 9 ND maintenance including upgrades , patches and
assist the DOH FileNet team with the FileNet component upgrades and
maintenance.
• Architect , configure and implement the Oracle Business Intelligence
(Analytics Software) platform. Perform routine deployments of the
OBIEE reports and dashboards. Assist developers with troubleshooting
and performance enhancement.
• Configure Web Servers and maintain J2EE software applications
running on WebLogic middleware systems. Perform routine server
administration, configuration backups, SSO configuration, server-side
performance tuning, analysis and troubleshooting tasks.
• Candidate will be tasked with applying software enhancements,
security patches and bug fixes to the WebLogic and WAS and other
supported middleware environment on a schedule basis.
• Collaborate with the development staff and other teams on a regular
basis to determine best approach for new application development (ex.
Database connections, Security, External vs. Internal)
• Candidate will proactively monitor server and web server logs to meet
service level agreements for application uptime.
• Candidate will be responsible for running UNIX commands to perform
UNIX OS and Middleware tasks.
• Address and resolve technical issues in a timely manner 24x7x365. If
necessary, work with vendor support to resolve web server and
operating system issues.
• Candidate will be tasked with documenting procedures in SharePoint
and training staff members as needed. Also provide off-hours support if
necessary.
Qualifications:
- 84 months of experience working in a Linux-based environment, including
experience with Linux internals.
- 84 Months of experience installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining
Oracle Fusion Middleware Products, including Oracle WebLogic servers, Web
servers, and SOA suite.
- 60 months of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining IBM
WebSphere Servers, IBM HTTP Web Servers and managing the WAS platform
for FileNet Enterprise Content Management System.
- 60 Months of experience installing, configuring, administering, and
maintaining Business Intelligence products like OBIEE (Oracle Analytics
Server) and BI Publisher.
- 60 months of experience in implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) in WebLogic
and Oracle Business Intelligence OBIEE (Oracle Analytics Server) platforms.
- 60 months of experience with WebLogic server troubleshooting, performance
tuning and analyzing thread Dumps using tools like samurai, thread dump
analyzer, jvisualvm etc.
- 60 months of experience with application performance and monitoring tools
like Dynatrace, Wily New Relic.
- 60 months of experience configuring, managing, and maintaining other
application servers like Tomcat, Apache and nginx.
