Facility Overview
The Cook Chill Production Center (CCPC) is responsible for the process and transport of 15,000 pounds of food daily to NYS Office of Mental Health facilities and other NYS facilities, government facilities, and not-for-profit agencies. CCPC's food catalog consists of over 150 items.
Job Description
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and manual and motorized pallet jacks throughout the day.
• Load and unload food supplies from trucks by physically lifting items (up to 40 pounds) or operating a manual and motorized pallet jack or forklift.
• Move heavy food items to and from refrigerator (36°F) and freezer (0°F) storerooms occasionally operating in these colder environments for extended periods of time (up to one hour). Cold temperature gear is provided (hats, gloves, and coats).
• Assist in the receiving and shipping of various food items and other supplies. Accurately record receipt and document incoming freight and raw materials.
• Assist in taking physical inventories.
• Sweep and mop floors and discard trash from the Cook Chill premises.
