Job Description

Our client, an established advisory and accounting firm is seeking both Canadian Tax Managers and Canadian Sr Tax Managers to join the team in Eastern Canada. This role is remote and offers significant growth opportunities, allowing you to collaborate with senior leadership, drive meaningful client outcomes, and mentor rising professionals within a strong workplace culture. Those interested in this opportunity must work and reside in Eastern Canada, no exceptions.

Duties will include but not be limited to

  • Tax Planning & Strategy: Work closely with Tax Partners and senior tax leadership to design, research, document, and execute strategic tax planning assignments.
  • Review & Compliance: Review Canadian individual and corporate tax returns, alongside other complex tax files prepared by the team.
  • Client Consultation: Consult directly with private enterprise clients to navigate their ongoing business and tax planning needs.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Coach, mentor, and develop staff to foster high performance, while creating and facilitating technical training opportunities.
  • Business Development: Identify new client service opportunities and encourage cross-team collaboration to add maximum value.
  • Firm Culture: Engage with all levels of the organization to support company strategy and participate in firm-wide social and culture-building events.

Requirements

  • Education & Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting (or an equivalent field); and CPA designation.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of dedicated senior tax experience within a professional services firm, with a specific focus on private enterprises.
  • Technical Skill: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities paired with sound professional judgment to find efficient, optimal tax solutions.
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills with the self-motivation to manage deadlines independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Communication: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively break down technical concepts for clients and staff.
