Job Description

Our client, a large, Canadian based and head quartered residential real estate management firm is seeking a skilled full cycle Property Accountant to join their busy team. Please note, the location is on Bloor St W (M8X 2X9) for consideration of your commute to their location Monday - Thursday, remote Fridays.

Reporting to the leadership team, your duties will include but not be limited to;
Prepare monthly reporting package for management/investors including:
  • Preparation of the monthly reporting package including the Balance sheet, Income statement, Bank reconciliations, Variance analysis, Accounts reconciliations
  • Monthly JE's of : Gross Potential Rent (GPR), revenue and expense accruals, mortgages, prepaids and fair market value adjustments
  • Analysis of trends in financial performance
  • Assisting with quarterly/yearly reporting packages and period/year-end audit packages 
  • Recording journal entries into Yardi
  • Review coding of invoices to ensure accurate postings to the GL
  • Prepare and maintain necessary continuity schedules
  • Coordinate and compilation of annual operational and capital budgets
  • Accounting schedules as requested for mortgage compliance and appraisal purposes
