Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support multiple construction projects at local power stations in Louisville, KY. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing contractor safety, ensuring quality workmanship, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders and field teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and internal safety protocols.
Evaluate contractor performance with a focus on quality, timelines, and adherence to construction specifications.
Act as a liaison between contractors and project stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination and resolution of issues.
Spend a significant portion of time on-site, supervising and validating the progress of construction work.
Interpret construction drawings and specifications to verify proper execution of tasks.
Provide field updates, observations, and recommendations to project management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Background in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering (experience in multiple disciplines preferred).
Proven experience with industrial construction practices and project coordination.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of OSHA safety policies and construction safety best practices.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (email, reporting, data entry).
Adaptability to changing project needs and schedules.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to spend the majority of the workday in the field, walking, observing, and addressing construction activities in real-time.
