Warehouse Representative

Location: West Chicago, IL, US 60185
Job Type: Full-Time 7am-4pm Monday-Friday
Department: Warehouse

Pay Range: $20.56–$22.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Representative to join our team in West Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Essential Responsibilities

• Unload, sort, and stage incoming products.
• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders using an RF scanning system.
• Manually pull specialized non-RF scanned items, including sample chairs, parts, literature, and other materials.
• Stock products on racks, shelves, and bins according to assigned locations.
• Regularly lift and move products weighing 50–80 pounds, with occasional team lifts of 80–150 pounds.
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Communicate shipping, packaging, delivery, or tagging issues to Customer Care, the Warehouse Manager, and/or the General Manager.
• Respond promptly to internal and external customer requests.
• Complete work accurately, efficiently, and with strong attention to detail.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and keeping workstations orderly.
• Safely operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), including forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Report safety concerns and incidents promptly and participate in required safety training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete company-provided PIT certification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in hot and cold warehouse environments.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand and walk throughout the workday.
• Frequently use hands and arms to handle materials and equipment.
• Frequently climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Regularly lift and move 50–80 pounds and occasionally participate in team lifts of 80–150 pounds.
• Work in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to moving mechanical equipment, varying weather conditions, and extreme temperatures.
