CNC Swiss Programmer

Location: Port Richey, FL (U.S. 19, ZIP Code 34652)
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary-to-Permanent
Schedule: Four 10-Hour Shifts, Monday–Thursday
Shift: AM Shift
Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour (Depending on Experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Programmer to join our team in Port Richey, Florida. This position is focused on programming, process development, and optimization of Swiss-style CNC machines rather than routine machine operation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Swiss programming, cutter compensation, and CAD/CAM systems, and will play a key role in supporting production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, edit, and optimize Swiss-style CNC machines for high-precision production.

  • Develop and troubleshoot CNC programs, including advanced use of cutter compensation (G41/G42).

  • Create and modify programs using CAD/CAM software.

  • Support machine setups and first-article prove-outs.

  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings to ensure part accuracy.

  • Partner with operators and manufacturing teams to resolve machining and program-related issues.

  • Drive continuous improvement in cycle time, tooling strategies, and machining processes.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO and internal quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC Swiss programming experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of Swiss lathes, tooling, and machining processes.

  • Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM programming software.

  • In-depth understanding of cutter compensation, feeds, speeds, and tooling selection.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation.

  • ISO or quality system experience preferred.
