Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Drill Press Operator to join our team in Tarpon Springs, FL (34689). This is a temporary-to-permanent position offering a great opportunity for long-term employment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a drill press and be proficient in reading blueprints, measuring tools, and part layout to ensure precision and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a drill press to drill, tap, ream, and countersink materials according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy in drilling and assembly.
• Lay out parts properly before machining to ensure correct hole placement and dimensions.
• Use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect finished products to maintain quality standards and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain and perform basic maintenance on drill press equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Drill Press Operator or in a similar machining role.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding part layouts.
• Strong skills in using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers for accurate measurements.
• Ability to drill, tap, and ream holes to precise sizes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and compliance with company guidelines.
