B2B Outside Sales Representative - Commercial Asphalt Solutions

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced B2B Outside Sales Representative to drive new business development in the Nashville market. This is a "hunter" role focused on identifying, prospecting, and closing new commercial accounts while building long-term relationships with decision-makers across various industries that require asphalt and paving services.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and prospect new commercial accounts with pavement maintenance and construction needs
- Target key market segments including shopping centers, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, restaurants, corporate campuses, and commercial properties
- Conduct on-site assessments and consultative sales meetings with property managers, facility directors, and decision-makers
- Develop customized proposals and present comprehensive paving solutions
- Negotiate contracts and pricing while maintaining profit margins
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Provide ongoing account management and customer service
- Coordinate with operations team to ensure seamless project delivery
- Leverage company's 25+ year track record and portfolio of successful projects in sales presentations
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and competitive landscape
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
- Collaborate with management on territory planning and sales strategy
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline reporting
Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven B2B outside sales experience with consistent track record
- Demonstrated "hunter" mentality with new business development success
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Industry Preference
- Construction, asphalt, concrete, or related building materials industry experience preferred
- Understanding of commercial property management and facility operations a plus
- Knowledge of construction bidding processes advantageous
