Job Description

Senior Project Architect – Program Design Manger

We are creating the tools to convert a resistant Architecture Engineering and Construction Industry into a smart and efficient machine. We are the prime manufacturer in the Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) system; we manufacture large building chunks that can transported and assembled on site into complex buildings quickly. We have 350 employees, eleven production lines and significant growth through 2022.

DMC is a building delivery system that uses design to leverage manufacturing productivity so that construction is simple. Its goal is to make buildings twice as good, twice as fast, and with twice the value of those made by anyone, anywhere – 2x2x2. For those motivated to play a part in that change, this is an exciting time.

We are looking for a talented and energetic Senior Project Architect to add to our team.

As Senior Project Architect, you will lead a design team in a dynamic, rapid-growth work environment with a team of bright, talented engineers, architects, designers, builders, crafters, and manufacturers in the development and delivery of a modular building program. From desk to factory floor to job sites and client meetings, you will be challenged to develop your skills in a new field, taking a lead role in project delivery via the DMC methodology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and management of building design during initial design phases, through permitting, construction, and long-term maintenance of the design as it relates to client feedback
  • Development and maintenance of prototype building design and related permitting documents over time.
  • Client facing position with regular client interface during all phases of program development and delivery. Responsive to client needs and queries.
  • Look-ahead scheduling of numerous projects annually and coordination of project milestone timing with owner, manufacturing team and construction team.
  • Due diligence phase activities for client’s site selections including leadership of a team who develops site plans based on prototype, including options and alternatives during due diligence phase.
  • Leads and supports project managers who are responsible for permitting and construction phase management for each project
  • Coordination of prototype design with MEP and Structural engineers and trades during initial design development and as the design evolves over time.
  • Identification of continuous improvement opportunities during all phases for iterative improvement of the building program.
  • Management of program changes in a fast-moving and dynamic project environment
  • Management, collaboration and mentorship of diverse, motivated project team.

Applicants should be prepared to share a work portfolio and demonstrate Job Qualifications as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture
  • 10+ years professional experience, medical design experience is a plus 7-10+
  • Project management experience
  • Familiarity and facility with Revit and revit workflows
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Licensed architect with relevant experience

Benefits: We offer the full spectrum of comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance. We also offer flexible spending accounts, paid time off, short term disability, term disability, life insurance and a 401k plan.
