Senior Quality Technician - Laboratory - NC
The Senior Quality Technician - Laboratory position is responsible for the management of
the quality lab and its activities. Perform dimensional analysis on new production parts as
well as analyze part capability as requested during production phase cycle.
Manage all calibration activities for gauges as well as validations of product, fixtures and
tooling for engineering and manufacturing departments. Manage quality workload activity
to ensure engineering, production and customers’ needs are met for lab activity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree in related field
- (7) seven years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of

Essential Functions:Owner of Lab Scope and calibration manual for North Carolina Lab. Responsible for
update and continued audit that the scope is kept up to date for the North Carolina
facility.
Provide quality support to APQP Launch team. Review customer prints to identify
quality requirements for feasibility. Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams and
confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability
standards.

Manage validation process for Fixtures and Tooling including all documentation as
required. Ultimate responsibility for process falls on this position.
Perform training and guidance to Quality and Production employees as needed.
Participate in process improvement projects to improve product quality, decrease
cost, and improve product performance.
Manage calibration system. Perform calibrations as per schedule. Enter calibration
results into the QMS gauge module including records of results. Maintain
cleanliness of Lab and Equipment. Manage and Maintain Records for 3rd Party
Calibrations/Certifications. Ultimate responsibility for process falls on this position.
New part, process change part validation, dimensional inspections on CMM/PC
DMIS and Polyworks.
Perform Annual Layouts as required.
Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests for
variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical
characteristics.
Key performance metrics: Calibration on time, Past Due Calibrations, PPAP on Time,
Tooling/Fixture validations, Annual Layouts and maintaining Asset Folder
