A small construction company located in Rockdale County is looking for a hands-on Controller to provide accounting leadership to their wonderful team. This position will be worked onsite in their office. 

If you have a strong background as an Accounting Manager but have not yet had the opportunity to move into a Controller position, this is a great opportunity for you! Candidates with construction, electrical or mechanical services experience are desired.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a system of financial controls and financial reporting
• Develop and update budgets, forecasts, and reporting tools/information
• Perform financial analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Maintain work-in-progress reports and the general ledger
• Perform month-end close
• Assist Leadership with important decisions by being a good steward of the company’s financial resources
• Supervise the accounting staff, which includes an AP Specialist, an AR Specialist, and other financial assistants

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 5-10 years combined accounting & accounting management experience in construction, electrical, mechanical services, etc.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, but not required
• Previous experience building or turning around an accounting team
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: a salary of $92,000 - $105,000 depending on match to experience requirements, plus medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and Life Insurance benefits. There is also a 401k, PTO as well as a Tuition Reimbursement Program.
