Job Description

A national consumer advocacy non-profit is looking for a fulltime experienced User Experience Manager to join their team and lead the UX efforts developing new and creative solutions for consumer and business challenges.

As an UX Manager you will be responsible for owning the entire product development process from research, concepts to deliverables for all platforms.

As an UX Manager you will:
-Be responsible for all UX efforts for all development projects across all platforms (mobile, web, tablet)
-Create solutions for consumer and business challenges
-Lead and generate storyboards, work and task flows, experience maps, consumer journeys, wireframe, prototypes, taxonomies and other
-Lead internal UX team, as well as outside sources and vendors (freelancers and design agencies) and assist in recruiting freelance talent pool
-Define UX best practices
-Develop ideal site conversions and experience standards
-Review, analyze and report existing website content structure, taxonomy, interfaces and template
-Be responsible for usability testing, helping to plan and conduct the test, analyze results and provide recommendations for improvement.
-Help to define organizational resource needs for UX
-Lead the UX discipline across the organization, providing mentoring, feedback and leadership around key usability concepts and applications.

Our ideal UX Manager has end to end experience with these skills:
- 8+ years of UX experience
- 2+ years of leadership role (agency or large commercial web site)
-Understanding of UX standards and best practices
-Min BA in relevant field
-Proven track record in usable interfaces and efficient page-level templates, for large data-base driven and responsive/adaptable products
-Strong and team-oriented leadership skills and communication skills
-Comfortable in working with outside agencies, as well as recruit and manage freelancers
-Able to guide visual design and UX architect staff towards common visions and objectives
-Highly adaptable and up to date with new technologies, agile processes and new UX skills and trends
-Understanding of HTML, and other technologies used in building web applications (CSS, DHTML and Javascript, etc.).
-Knowledge standard UI programs: Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, among others
