Job Description

Our client, a growing and successful soft goods/domestics manufacturer seeks a textile designer with a minimum 5 years’ experience. This is a temp to fulltime opportunity working onsite in their offices. The Textile Designer will execute the development of designs as part of the Design and Product Development team to produce design projects from concept to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Pattern concepts and designs in Adobe Illustrator, along with all technical drawings.
• Product development - track development, fit and confirmation samples
• Track and approve all fabrics, packaging, labels and artwork
• Design patterns and provide specifications for color palette, elements, layout, size, scale, repeat, and registration.
• Provide detailed, technical comments on strike offs, and weaves and fabric lab dyes.
• Safeguard production deliverables; ensure on time delivery
• Collaborate with Product Development team to ensure textile designs and product specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years of experience in product development
• BA Degree in Fashion, Home, textile design, or related with a minimum 3-5 years’ experience.
Experience in Children's retail/fashion bedding design is a plus!
• Strong color sense, pattern merchandising and market knowledge
• Experience communicating with overseas factories on a daily basis and ensure requests are completed.
• Able to work well under pressure in a small, fast creative team environment.
• Expert skills in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Freehand to create full style and detailed construction sketches. Knowledgeable in Adobe Scene7 is a plus.
• Highly organized, good work ethic, lots of energy and great attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The Textile Designer will focus on construction, textile prints & construction sketches/blue print materials) using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.

This is a temp to fulltime opportunity working onsite in  Broward County, FL
