HOUSEKEEPER
Pasadena, CA | Full-Time 

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join the household staff of a private residence in Pasadena. This position is responsible for maintaining a 15,000-square-foot home to an exceptionally high standard.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a private household or luxury residential environment and will take pride in providing meticulous cleaning, laundry, ironing, and household support. The successful candidate should be polished, discreet, reliable, organized, and comfortable working as part of a professional household team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and detailed cleaning of the residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, dining rooms, kitchen, and other household spaces.
• Maintain the home to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and organization.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, polish, and clean a variety of surfaces and flooring, using appropriate products and techniques.
• Care for and maintain fine furniture, antiques, decorative pieces, artwork, and other high-end household furnishings as appropriate.
• Handle delicate and specialty surfaces and materials with proper care and attention.
• Maintain closets, drawers, cabinets, and other household areas in an organized and orderly manner.
• Manage laundry from start to finish, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, pressing, ironing, and putting clothing and linens away.
• Handle delicate, luxury, and specialty garments with appropriate care.
• Maintain household linens, towels, bedding, and other textiles.
• Make and change beds and ensure bedrooms are consistently guest-ready.
• Assist with packing and unpacking luggage and organizing clothing when requested.
• Assist the chef with meal preparation, kitchen organization, and other kitchen-related duties as needed.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, organized, and properly maintained throughout the day.
• Assist with setting and clearing tables for family meals and entertaining.
• Support the household team with special events, parties, and entertaining as needed.
• Monitor household supplies and communicate when cleaning products, laundry supplies, linens, or other necessities need to be replenished.
• Follow established household procedures and care instructions for furnishings, surfaces, clothing, and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with other household staff and follow direction from the principals, household manager, or designated supervisor.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding the family, residence, guests, and household activities.
• Perform other household duties as requested to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the home.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional housekeeper in a private household, luxury residence, estate, or similarly high-end environment.
• Experience caring for a large residence is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining a beautiful, immaculate, and well-organized home.
• Strong knowledge of professional cleaning methods and appropriate care of fine furnishings and surfaces.
• Excellent laundry, garment-care, and ironing skills.
• Comfortable assisting with kitchen and meal-preparation duties.
• Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a household staff.
• Highly organized, dependable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to anticipate household needs and take initiative without constant supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Must be trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of the family's privacy.
• Flexibility to assist with special projects, entertaining, or additional household needs when required.
• Strong references from previous private-household employers.
