HOUSEMAN / HANDYMAN

Malibu, California | Two-Property Portfolio | Full Time

An exceptional private family is seeking an experienced, polished and hands-on Houseman/Handyman to oversee two luxury residences in Malibu and a house team.

The ideal candidate will combine strong household and property management expertise with a genuine five-star hospitality mindset, ensuring each residence is impeccably maintained, beautifully presented and always principal- and guest-ready.

This is a highly service-oriented role requiring exceptional organizational skills, proactive leadership, discretion and the ability to anticipate the needs of the Principals and their guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, maintenance and presentation of three luxury residences.

• Lead, train and supervise household staff, ensuring exceptional service standards.

• Provide polished, discreet and intuitive hospitality to Principals and guests.

• Manage vendors, contractors, preventative maintenance and property improvement projects.

• Coordinate guest arrivals, private entertaining, events and household provisioning.

• Oversee household systems, inventories, schedules and operational procedures.

• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure impeccable standards.

• Remain hands-on and flexible, assisting with service and household operations as needed.

Ideal Candidate

• Extensive experience in luxury private households or five-star hospitality.

• Strong background in household management, VIP service, staff leadership and property operations.

• Knowledge of formal and informal service, residential systems and smart-home technology.

• Highly organized, resourceful, proactive and solutions-oriented.

• Polished, discreet and professional, with exceptional attention to detail.

• Comfortable balancing hands-on hospitality with operational management.

• Demonstrated longevity in previous positions and excellent verifiable references are essential.

• Flexibility to accommodate changing household schedules, guests and events.

Additional Information

This is a fully vaccinated household. An excellent compensation package is offered, commensurate with experience.
