Middle School English Language Arts (E.L.A.) Teacher

BrightSpire Talent is hiring a full-time English Language Arts (E.L.A.) Teacher for a private middle school serving students in grades 6, 7, and 8. This is a single, dedicated role offering a small class size (1:8 teacher-to-student ratio) and a supportive, close-knit school environment.

Key Details:

• Full-time position

• Grades: 6th, 7th, and 8th

• Classroom ratio: 1 teacher to 8 students

• Salary: $35,000–$45,000 annually

• Benefits: Includes medical coverage

Responsibilities:

• Teach core E.L.A. subjects including reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with academic standards

• Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages participation and critical thinking

• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction to meet individual needs

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school leadership

Qualifications:

• Experience with middle school students preferred

• Strong classroom management, planning, and instructional skills
