ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
·Employee is required to comply with the Client’s operational requirements which vary from project to project. Employee should be prepared and able to perform the following job duties, although the specific duties required for each project will depend on the Employee’s supervisor and the particular needs of each client and project depending upon the location, geographic and weather conditions and client requirements:
·Performs duties as designated by the Clients Project Manager, or designee in accordance with the job requirements outlined in the assigned activity. Inspects and oversees contractor’s work of specific coating applications performed for the construction of pipelines and facilities to ensure that procedures and materials comply with contract specifications, codes, and industry standards. Documents construction inspections, contractor's efforts, and materials used on the project.
·Verifies coating work is performed in compliance to specifications, plans, and codes. Observes work to ensure that procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications. Examines quality of finished installations for conformity to standards. Interprets plans and specifications and discusses and records deviations from specified construction procedures with construction contractor to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
·Monitors and documents quantities of coating materials received or used during specified periods. Interprets plans and identifies deviations or exceptions to the specifications, drawings, permits, or governing regulations. Prepares sketches of construction installations that deviate from drawings. Verify that no anomalies or defects are coated and lowered in, coated piping is placed on suitably padded area, coated piping is visually inspected and electrically inspected prior to lowering-in according to project’s specifications, scope and governing body guidelines. Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities and prepares daily progress reports.
·Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
·5+ years oil and gas construction, inspection or other related experience (Preferred)
·3+ years of experience in pipeline and related facilities construction activities including surface preparation and coating application
·1+ years inspecting prepared surfaces and applied coatings as it pertains to the conformance with Company specifications and government regulations
·Basic computer knowledge: i.e. Word, Excel, and email functions
·Current NACE CIP or CP Certification
·API 1169 (Preferred)
·Communicate Effectively (including reading and writing) to Accomplish the Following Results:
·Communicate with supervisors and the client regarding whether the contract is being performed in a suitable manner and engage in constructive problem solving.
·Administer customer service.
·Deliver Excellent Client Service by:
·Adhere to the Client Manager/ Company Man’s requirements which will be different from project to project.
