Schedule: Full-time | Four 10-hour shifts per week, every other Saturday off, closed Sundays

About Us

We are a growing, locally owned group of dog wellness centers, part of a national membership-based franchise brand. Our centers provide routine hygiene and preventive care, including baths, nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and grooming, so dogs stay clean and healthy month after month. Our focus is a consistent member experience and a workplace where both dogs and people thrive.

About the Opportunity

This is not a desk job. You will run a high-volume center with a full schedule of dogs, a steady flow of members, and a team that counts on you every day. It is fast-paced, hands-on and never boring.

You will own the center: your team, your member experience, your results. You will have direct support from an experienced district manager and ownership, so you are never on your own. This role is built for an energetic leader who is comfortable on their feet, can roll with the punches, and is not shy about having the hard conversations that come with leading a team.

The Role

As General Manager, you lead the center day to day. You set the tone for service, keep the floor running smoothly when the schedule is packed, coach an energetic hourly team, and turn great visits into long-term members.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach and motivate a team of hourly associates, bathers and groomers.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard and train team members.
  • Handle performance conversations, including corrective action and terminations when needed.
  • Build a positive, accountable culture where people want to come to work.

Operations & Member Experience

  • Keep a busy daily schedule of dogs on track, adjusting on the fly when the day gets hectic.
  • Uphold safety, sanitation and dog-handling standards at all times.
  • Resolve member concerns with empathy and confidence, including telling a customer no when it is the right call.
  • Manage staff scheduling in partnership with the district manager.

Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive membership sales and retention through customer education on dog health and hygiene.
  • Track and improve key metrics such as membership conversion, rebook rate and average ticket.
  • Train the team to confidently present memberships and services to every customer.

Experience

  • 2+ years managing an hourly team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment such as retail, hospitality, fitness, restaurants or service businesses.
  • Experience hiring, training and coaching staff, including handling tough conversations.
  • Membership or recurring-revenue sales experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right person.
  • Experience in veterinary clinics, dog daycare, boarding or other animal care settings is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable around dogs of all sizes.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Available to work every other Saturday.
  • Based in or able to commute to the southwest Salt Lake Valley.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $55,000 annual base salary
  • Performance bonus of up to $12,000 per year (up to $1,000 per month), tied to center performance
  • Urgent care membership paid by the company for you and your dependents, with no-cost or low-cost visits
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week, two full weekends off every month, and closed on Sundays
  • Paid time off
  • Brand onboarding and online training
  • Direct support from an experienced district manager and ownership
