The Opportunity
enhanceHCM is looking for a dynamic M&A HCM Project Manager to lead complex human capital management initiatives throughout the M&A lifecycle. In this remote, full-time role, you will oversee project execution across mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs—ensuring clients achieve operational continuity, compliance, and integration success. This role is ideal for a hands-on project leader with strong HCM experience and a track record of delivering results in fast-paced, transformational environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end HCM project plans for M&A transactions, from due diligence through post-close integration
  • Lead cross-functional project teams including HR, payroll, IT, and finance stakeholders
  • Drive system migrations, policy alignment, and HR/payroll process standardization
  • Collaborate with client leadership to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate vendor management, contract review, and system implementation activities
  • Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies while maintaining regular reporting to stakeholders
  • Oversee data integrity, benefits harmonization, and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Facilitate change management initiatives and employee communications to support a smooth transition 

 

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in HCM or payroll project management, with direct experience in M&A integration or divestiture work
  • Strong knowledge of HCM systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, UKG, SAP) and data migration best practices
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders, balancing shifting priorities while maintaining alignment and structure
  • Advanced relationship management and de-escalation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and resolve conflicts across clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Experience supporting private equity transactions, portfolio company transitions, or corporate carve-outs
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and client-facing skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and foster collaboration
  • Strong analytical thinking with a focus on execution, results, and strategic decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to create clarity, drive unity, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or similar are a plus
  • Comfortable working independently or collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic settings, taking ownership of outcomes and proactively managing risks

Pay Range (where required by law):
For roles posted in states that require it, we provide a pay range to help you decide if this opportunity is a fit. For this position, the hourly range is $80
$100 per hour (actual pay will be based on experience, skills, and specific state/local requirements).
