The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Consultant to support day-to-day payroll operations for a diverse client base. This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to work closely with internal teams and clients to process payroll, ensure compliance, and support ongoing payroll activities. The ideal candidate brings solid payroll experience, a hands-on approach, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment that values accuracy, responsiveness, and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

  • Process and support payroll activities for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, audits, and reconciliations across teams and systems
  • Support benefits-related payroll functions and assist with related inquiries
  • Partner with HR and finance teams to support payroll operations and data accuracy
  • Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues and support timely resolution
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Assist with process improvements and documentation of payroll procedures

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including payroll processing, administration, and tax compliance
  • Solid understanding of payroll systems, processes, and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, audits, and reconciliations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with clients and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow established processes and procedures
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and escalate issues as needed
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to overall project success
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential payroll data
  • Experience working with payroll vendors or supporting multiple clients is a plus
  • Professional certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus

Pay Range (where required by law):
For roles posted in states that require it, we provide a pay range to help you decide if this opportunity is a fit. For this position, the hourly range is $30$55 per hour (actual pay will be based on experience, skills, and specific state/local requirements)
