The Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned Global Payroll Consultant to support multinational payroll operations for our diverse client base. This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to work with leading organizations around the world, helping to manage payroll administration, ensure tax compliance, and coordinate global payroll processes. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of global payroll systems and practices, and thrives in a dynamic, client-facing role that values accuracy, discretion, and communication.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert-level payroll services and administration for global and enterprise clients
  • Ensure compliance with international payroll tax regulations and reporting standards
  • Coordinate payroll activities across multiple countries and vendors
  • Support benefits-related payroll functions and advise on international payroll implications
  • Partner with HR and finance teams to manage cross-border payroll operations
  • Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion
  • Deliver timely, accurate payroll processing and issue resolution
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including global payroll services, administration, and tax compliance; candidates with fewer years in a direct global role but a clear career progression into global payroll, with a combined total of 10+ years of relevant experience, are also encouraged to apply
  • Deep understanding of global HR and payroll systems, including multi-country regulations, compliance requirements, and data governance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to operate effectively across cultures, time zones, and diverse stakeholder groups
  • Proven ability to lead global payroll operations within a consulting or enterprise environment, driving consistency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Advanced relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and maintain strong partnerships across clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Skilled in de-escalation and conflict resolution, with the ability to navigate high-pressure situations, manage competing priorities, and drive successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to create structure, standardization, and alignment across global payroll processes in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound, data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and global workstreams simultaneously
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential payroll and employee data
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, fostering collaboration and accountability
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and driving continuous improvement
  • Professional certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred

Pay Range (where required by law):
For roles posted in states that require it, we provide a pay range to help you decide if this opportunity is a fit. For this position, the hourly range is $50$85 per hour (actual pay will be based on experience, skills, and specific state/local requirements)
