Job Description

As the Project Development Manager, you will execute country BESS strategy by preparing a list of projects for acquisition, greenfield development, joint ventures, and divestitures. You will work closely with external developers to acquire brownfield projects and navigate the market to develop greenfield BESS projects.  

Responsibilities:

• Develop a pipeline of projects for brownfield acquisition to be presented to the executive committee
• Identify project sites, assess feasibility, and manage site selection process for greenfield development
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks related to BESS projects
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including: government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
• Complete business case preparation through development of financial structures, PPAs, and debt structures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, finance professionals, and legal experts for seamless project execution. Overview budgets, timelines and resources so that project is completed in time.
• Lead strategic initiatives for BESS projects through incorporation of new technologies and software
• Stay updated with industry developments, technological advancements, and policy changes to ensure project competitiveness and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience in renewable energy project development, with emphasis on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Strong grasp of energy market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and permitting processes.
• Excellent project management skills, adept at handling multiple projects concurrently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to evolving project requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for project management, data analysis, and presentations.
