C2BMC Watch Officer

Location: Colorado Springs, CO - On-site
Clearance: Active Secret; must be capable of obtaining TS/SCI and required program access
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and coverage based on mission requirements

Position Overview

DSI is seeking a C2BMC Watch Officer to support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. Reporting to the C2BMC Command Center Operations Lead, this position provides operational oversight and guidance for a workforce of more than 125 personnel supporting around-the-clock command center operations and globally dispersed assets.

The Watch Officer oversees the health, availability, and security of the global C2BMC enterprise, coordinating operations and maintenance, network monitoring, and defensive cyber activities. This role requires sound operational judgment, experience leading technical teams, and the ability to brief senior leaders on system status, mission impacts, and recommended actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily C2BMC operations and maintain awareness of the health and status of global mission systems.

• Provide operational direction to command center crews and personnel supporting globally dispersed assets.

• Oversee operations and maintenance, network monitoring, and network defense activities to maintain mission system availability, service quality, and security.

• Direct crews in troubleshooting network issues and supporting defensive cyber operations.

• Coordinate with the Global Shift Lead, Command Center Operations Lead, and government leadership to address mission requirements and operational issues.

• Ensure operational reports are accurate, communicate system status and mission impacts, and recommend courses of action.

• Maintain operations floor integrity, ensure appropriate shift staffing, and conduct thorough shift turnover briefings.

• Ensure crew members are trained, certified, and prepared to perform assigned missions.

• Direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and Operating Instructions (OIs).

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and required access to programs classified above Secret.

• Generally five or more years of related experience.

• Experience leading personnel in the operation or maintenance of large-scale computer systems, communications systems, or networks.

• Experience or knowledge of enterprise networks, systems, and cyber defense capabilities and management.

• Experience in project management, planning, and resource management.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to brief senior leaders on complex technical and operational issues.

• Ability to communicate system and network issues, operational status, and recommended actions to program management and government customers.

• Practical experience directing the assessment and development of TTPs or operating instructions for operational services.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and ability to use tools such as Visio to support technical briefings.

• Willingness and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and substitute coverage as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.

• Experience coordinating with Department of Defense agencies and missile defense operations organizations.

• Experience supporting the U.S. Space Force, USSTRATCOM, or operations within the space domain.

• Postsecondary education or training in a related discipline.
