Job Title: Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure as Code)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite – 5 days per week)

A client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise for a long-term contract opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure using automated provisioning and configuration tools.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building cloud environments through code, implementing automation, and supporting DevOps practices within enterprise-scale environments.
Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
Build and maintain automated infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate infrastructure automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Develop automation to streamline deployment, configuration management, and environment provisioning.
Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues related to cloud services and deployments.
Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Ensure infrastructure adheres to security, compliance, and operational best practices.
4+ years of experience working in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Experience working with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
Experience integrating infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or similar.
Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
Strong scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
Experience working in highly regulated environments such as financial services.
