Job Description

The firm is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee daily HR operations while providing leadership, process improvement, and operational support across the organization. This role partners with HR leadership, office managers, department heads, and HR team members to deliver responsive, compliant, and high-quality human resources services.

Key responsibilities include managing and developing the HR Operations team, overseeing onboarding and offboarding, background checks, Workday transactions, timecard administration, employment verifications, and employee engagement initiatives. The Human Resources Manager will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, oversee I-9 processing and work authorization tracking, manage unemployment claims, prepare regulatory filings, maintain HRIS data integrity, and lead training programs on HR policies and compliance. The role also focuses on identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, workflows, and systems while supporting HR technology and digital transformation projects.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, along with 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience that includes both operational and strategic responsibilities. Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, Microsoft 365, and Workday or a similar HRIS is required. HR certification (PHR or SPHR), supervisory experience, and prior law firm or professional services experience are preferred.
