Centurion is seeking a Project Manager to provide dedicated support for the CMMC Level 2 Program. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of project delivery, working with internal resources and external vendors to ensure successful execution. This role requires a highly skilled project manager with experience applying PMI methodologies, managing technical integrations, and driving accountability across multiple stakeholders.
Manage assigned projects through all phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closure, following Amentum’s project management methodology based on the PMI framework.
Develop, maintain, and baseline Microsoft Project schedules, ensuring proper work breakdown, LOEs/durations, resource assignments, and dependencies.
Oversee vendor relationships, acting as liaison between functional teams, business units, and leadership to ensure requirements are properly gathered, documented, and tracked.
Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, and budget; proactively identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
Facilitate effective communication, including meeting facilitation, documentation, and distribution of meeting minutes, action items, and status updates.
Identify, document, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure adherence to change management processes regarding scope, cost, and schedule.
Deliver high-quality project documentation including weekly status reports, risk logs, lessons learned, and final closure reports.
Provide financial oversight by submitting monthly Budget vs. Actuals reports and forecasts; notify leadership when 75% of allocated funding is reached.
Submit accurate and timely weekly timesheets with itemized breakdowns of hours and activities.
Support other tasks as directed by the EPMO Portfolio Lead.
U.S. Citizenship (required).
Demonstrated experience managing projects with PMI-based methodologies across all project phases.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Smartsheet for project scheduling and tracking.
Strong vendor management skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to develop comprehensive project plans, analyze performance, and recommend mitigations.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven approach.
Experience supporting cybersecurity, compliance, or enclave-related projects.
PMP or other PMI certification strongly preferred.
Experience in government contracting or consulting environments.
Weekly project status reports outlining accomplishments, planned activities, milestones, and risks/issues.
Monthly Budget vs. Actuals financial reporting with forecasts.
Project deliverables reviewed and approved in line with Amentum governance practices.
Final closure report and lessons learned documentation.
