Centurion Consulting Group is seeking a Metrics Business Analyst to support the our client. This role is pivotal in enabling data-driven decision-making across key operational areas such as maintenance availability, personnel training pipelines, and readiness metrics. As a member of a dynamic technical team, you will develop and deliver mission-critical metric analysis, dashboards, and reports in support of senior Navy leadership and operational staff.
Collaborate with database developers, SMEs, and leadership to build and maintain databases that support analysis of Preventative Maintenance Availabilities (PMAV), Operational Availability (Ao), Material Availability (Am), and Train to Qualify (T2Q) Replacement Sailors.
Deliver interpretive reports and presentations to Flag-level leadership, incorporating charts, graphs, and data trends to drive informed decision-making.
Clean and enhance historical data sets, especially those related to the T2Q Access database tracking over 750 Sailors in training.
Automate and streamline existing data collection methods (e.g., ship 8 o’clock reports) to reduce redundancy and manual rework.
Conduct analysis on shipboard maintenance and personnel training metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Participate in regular meetings with the Chief of Staff, Department Heads, and SMEs to assess data needs and present actionable findings.
Create and maintain tools, templates, and workflows that enhance the squadron’s ability to manage operational and training data efficiently.
Deliverables include data visualization, metrics design, performance summaries, and monthly task reports for review by the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC).
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution OR equivalent commercial/military experience in business analytics, systems, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis or database development using Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Demonstrated ability to produce high-level presentations using MS PowerPoint for executive briefings.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex data into meaningful insights.
Experience in presenting findings to leadership and contributing to process improvement strategies.
Able to work collaboratively with a technical team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Experience working in or supporting DoD, Navy, or ship maintenance programs.
