Medical Oncologist Opportunity Independent Oncology Practice – St. George, Utah
An independent oncology practice in St. George, Utah is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist to join as the second physician in a high-volume, high-earning southern Utah location. This is an excellent opportunity with immediate patient demand, strong operational support, and significant earning potential.
Practice Overview
This independent, physician-led oncology practice operates on a unique “eat what you treat” model that rewards productivity far beyond traditional hospital-employed salary models. The group has historically performed above MGMA benchmarks.
- Northern Utah (Provo/American Fork/Lehi area): 4 medical oncologists + 5 nurse practitioners across 3 locations
- Southern Utah (St. George): Currently 1 medical oncologist + 2 nurse practitioners
- Multiple physician-owned infusion centers (18 chairs in St. George)
- New infusion center opening in Salem later this year
Position Highlights – St. George
- Immediate need for a second medical oncologist
- Solo physician currently covering St. George + limited Mesquite, NV satellite clinic (2 days/month)
- Robust patient volume (~25 patients/day)
- 4-day work week standard (typically 8–9am to 4:30pm)
- Full ancillary support with on-site lab and imaging at most locations
- Accept outside infusion orders (non-oncology as well)
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected compensation at median to 75th percentile MGMA
- High-performing physicians in the group routinely reach 75th–90th percentile MGMA
- Direct share of professional collections + ancillary revenue through the “eat what you treat” model

Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology (Hematology welcome but not required)
