Job Description
Foot & Ankle Specialist Fellowship-Trained | Independent Physician-Owned Group | Utah County, Utah
The Opportunity Founding foot and ankle surgeon within a new orthopedic section at Utah's largest independent, physician-owned multispecialty group. Foot and ankle is the fastest-growing orthopedic sub-specialty. Utah County is underserved, and the patient demographic — young, active, outdoor-oriented — generates elevated per-capita volume. Built-in surgical referrals from within the section and five urgent care locations from Day 1.
Compensation is designed to accelerate well beyond the Year 1 guarantee. A 12-month partnership track unlocks ancillary income streams, ownership participation, and uncapped production — substantially increasing total compensation at partnership.
Clinical Scope
- Forefoot reconstruction, total ankle replacement, ankle arthroscopy
- Flatfoot reconstruction, Achilles pathology, cavovarus correction
- Acute trauma — ankle fractures, Lisfranc injuries, calcaneus fractures
- Internal referrals from the section's generalist and sports medicine physicians
Qualifications
- MD/DO — BC/BE Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship in foot and ankle surgery
- Total ankle replacement experience preferred (any platform)
- Early-career surgeons (1–5 years post-fellowship) encouraged to apply
Compensation
- $625,000+ Year 1 guaranteed floor
- 12-month partnership track — ancillary income and ownership participation at partner
- Uncapped production above threshold — no ceiling on earnings
- Employer-paid malpractice with prior acts coverage included
- Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, CME, retirement, relocation
Differentiators
- Physician-owned — not a health system, not private equity
- Underserved foot and ankle market with high-demand patient demographic
- Built-in referral pipeline from 200+ PCPs, five urgent care locations, and section colleagues
- Four owned imaging centers for pre-op planning
- Prior acts (tail) coverage provided as a recruiting benefit
