Job Description
Capstone IT is partnering with a leading retail organization to hire a Product Manager who will drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of enterprise products supporting retail store operations. This role partners with store operations, merchandising, inventory management, supply chain, and technology teams to improve how stores operate every day.
This position focuses on products that support inventory management, replenishment, fulfillment, backroom operations, and associate workflows, helping improve operational efficiency and the in-store customer experience.
This is a contract-to-FTE position. Candidates will be converted to FTE at the 6-month mark. MUST be USC or GC. This position is fully remote until 8/1/2027, after 8/1/2027 relocation to Springfield, MO is required. Generous relocation package provided.
What You'll Do
- Lead the product strategy and roadmap for enterprise applications supporting retail store operations.
- Own products that improve inventory accuracy, replenishment, fulfillment, backroom operations, and associate productivity.
- Partner with Store Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Distribution, and Technology teams to prioritize product enhancements.
- Translate operational challenges into scalable technology solutions that improve store performance.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business objectives and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions.
- Define success metrics, analyze operational data, and continuously improve product performance.
- Manage priorities, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing enterprise products throughout the full product lifecycle.
- Ability to develop strategic product roadmaps while driving execution across cross-functional teams.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable product plans.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience using operational data and performance metrics to guide decisions.
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a complex enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner supporting retail operations.
- Success managing enterprise applications that support retail store operations.
- Experience with one or more of the following:

- Inventory Management

- Backroom Operations
- Merchandising
- Distribution Center operations
- Experience partnering with Store Operations, Merchandising, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain teams.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of Product Management and/or Product Ownership experience supporting retail operations, inventory management, merchandising, fulfillment, supply chain, or store technology.
- Previous experience leading cross-functional initiatives is preferred.
