Job Description

C2 client, a nimble, remote-first agency specializing in agri-business marketing, seeks a part-time contract Social Media Strategist to assess and elevate a key client's organic social media presence. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who can diagnose what’s missing, build a path forward, and demonstrate real ROI beyond vanity metrics.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Part-time, contract
Location: Remote
Compensation: $28–$40/hour as a W2 employee of C2 
Benefits: All C2 talent working 30+ hours/week for 30 days are eligible for medical, dental, optional vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, and PTO accrual
Technology: Talent is expected to use their own hardware/software and may recommend platforms or tools for client adoption

Job Description:
Join a collaborative, client-focused agency with a core team of seasoned freelancers and creatives. They’re seeking a self-directed, analytical Social Media Strategist who can build a clearer picture of what’s working, what’s not, and where the client's social channels should go next. This is not a posting or scheduling role—they need someone who will ask the right questions, audit performance, and create a forward-looking strategy that shows value and impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit and evaluate current organic LinkedIn and Facebook strategy
  • Establish meaningful social media metrics beyond vanity stats
  • Develop a strategy for content, targeting, and engagement
  • Make recommendations for platforms, tools, or process improvements
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders and clients
  • If strategy is approved, provide framework for implementation and reporting cadence
  • Potential to remain on in a consultative or ongoing strategic role

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in social media strategy, preferably in B2B or agri-business
  • Strong understanding of organic LinkedIn and Facebook channels
  • Experience establishing and reporting on social KPIs that tie to business goals
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate actionable insights clearly
  • Proficiency in tools like Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn analytics, and optional third-party platforms
  • Self-starter who thrives in loosely defined, client-driven environments
