C2 client, a boutique digital marketing agency that helps B2B organizations level up their marketing maturity and performance, seeks a part-time, contract Account Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to assigned clients. The Account Manager will manage key client relationships and coordinate internal delivery teams to ensure that execution aligns with long-term strategies and short-term objectives.

Start date: Targeting week of May 27, 2025
Duration: 3+ months to start; 20–25 hours per week with potential for extension
Location: Remote
Compensation: $30/hour maximum, commensurate with experience

Job Description:

C2’s client is looking for an empathetic, marketing-savvy Account Manager with sharp critical thinking skills and a calm command of details. In this role, you’ll act as the primary point of contact for a handful of client accounts, functioning as both a strategic partner and a tactical organizer. You’ll guide digital marketing strategy and keep things moving across day-to-day execution—serving as the linchpin between external clients and internal delivery teams.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5+ years of account management experience, preferably in an agency setting, and has the ability to juggle competing priorities with diplomacy and poise. You’re someone who translates business goals into marketing actions, creates clarity out of complexity, and earns client trust with every interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for 3–4 client accounts, building strong, trust-based relationships
  • Support clients in developing and executing customized digital marketing strategies aligned to their goals
  • Lead recurring client meetings, deliver insights, and adjust plans based on performance data and evolving needs
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure project deliverables are on time and on budget
  • Help scope time and costs for Statements of Work, targeting a gross profit margin of 60%+
  • Manage onboarding for new clients, ensuring a strong early experience
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed with clear context and timely communication
  • Facilitate quarterly strategic planning sessions to realign goals and roadmaps
  • Advocate for the client while balancing team capacity and internal workflows
  • Be a collaborative team member—offer help, seek clarity, and stay curious

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of account management experience, ideally in a B2B agency setting
  • 3+ years of digital marketing and/or marketing strategy experience
  • Strong track record of managing multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills—clear, proactive, and adaptable
  • Highly organized with strong project management and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort using virtual collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Asana or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with Google Analytics and marketing automation platforms is a plus
  • Available 20–25 hours/week during standard U.S. business hours
  • Access to a private, professional home office with reliable internet
