Job Description

C2's client, a thriving global software company that believes ecommerce software should enable sustainable growth, seeks a Product Marketing Manager who understands the B2B ecommerce landscape and SaaS products. This role bridges the gap between product and market, ensuring ecommerce solutions are positioned effectively, resonate with target audiences, and align with evolving market demands.

The organization is building something special: powerful ecommerce software and a supportive, values-driven culture where team members can bring their full selves to work. The team is passionate about what they do, tackling complex challenges with creativity, collaboration, and plenty of humor. They celebrate both major milestones and everyday wins—and they’re committed to helping employees grow in their careers within a close-knit, mission-driven environment.

The ideal candidate is humble and hungry, analytical, technical, and as good a writer as they are a product marketer. You’re invested in the success of the products, the clients, and the team—and you use your writing, product marketing skills, and SaaS/ecommerce experience to prove it. You align buyer and product strategy, think strategically, and can differentiate communications between end users and technical buyers. You advocate for both the user and the product, collaborating with product, tech, and engineering teams while communicating business value.

Start date: As soon as they find the right person
Duration: Full-time direct hire, though the company is open to a short-term, mutually beneficial temp-to-perm contract
Location: Hybrid in Wauwatosa, WI with in-office work on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Compensation: $80–$90K/year, negotiable based on skills and experience

About the Products:

The company offers two complementary ecommerce software products—one focused on product customization and personalization, and another that serves as an enterprise B2B ecommerce platform. These tools help companies manage content, product information, and multi-store functionality at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies for product launches, ensuring alignment with product capabilities and market needs

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, sales, and marketing to support product development, launch, and post-launch initiatives
  • Craft compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences and differentiates the company’s solutions in the market
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis (e.g., Optimizely, BigCommerce, Shopify, Salesforce, Sage) to inform product strategy and positioning
  • Advocate for both the product and end user—aligning cross-functional teams to drive a user-centric approach while meeting business goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, with a strong track record in product positioning, marketing strategy, and product launches
