Job Description

C2’s client, a small but impactful organization managing both non-profit and for-profit initiatives, is looking for a highly-skilled part-time, contract Squarespace or WordPress developer to elevate and streamline its online presence. This professional will work on two websites, ensuring they are professional, visually appealing (art direction and assets provided by the client), and easy to navigate, while maintaining accurate branding. The role requires expertise in either Squarespace (current platform) or WordPress (preferred alternative), with a focus on community engagement and event-specific functionality.

Start date: As soon as they find the right person
Duration: Part-time, contract (project completion targeted for May 2025; key milestones due by April 1, 2025)
Location: Remote (CST working hours preferred)
Compensation: $40-$50/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have proven website development experience, with a portfolio showcasing professional, visually dynamic, and user-focused executions. They will be a detail-oriented self-starter who can meet deadlines, manage evolving needs, and communicate effectively with the founder and other board members. Experience with Squarespace and WordPress is essential, along with familiarity in building functionality for event management, sponsorship integration, and volunteer sign-ups.

Key Responsibilities:

• With the client providing art direction and assets, redesign and optimize the non-profit and for-profit websites, ensuring intuitive navigation and engaging visuals.
  
• Implement event-specific pages with the following features by a tentative deadline of April 1, 2025 : registration portal, volunteer sign-up functionality, event activations (basketball, cycling, community tent, etc.), location updates, and more
  
• Create sponsor pages for dynamic updates as sponsorships are secured
  
• Maintain consistent branding, logos, and visual flow across both sites
  
• Collaborate with leadership to implement provided content

• Proven experience in full-stack Squarespace or WordPress development
• Expertise in creating user-friendly, visually appealing websites that align with brand goals
• Familiarity with building dynamic features like registration portals, volunteer management, and sponsor pages
• Strong organizational and project management skills to meet phased deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
