Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all products are accurately processed and accounted for. This position is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations and supporting our commitment to excellent customer service.

This is a full time position that offers an ambitious candidate the opportunity to learn on the job and implement changes for improvement. Although we are looking for experience, we may consider candidates willing to learn.---

Key Responsibilities

Duties

· Manage the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.

· Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock, and prepare shipping documents.

· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to load and unload shipments safely.

· Perform order picking and packing duties, ensuring that all items are correctly packaged for shipment.

· Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocking shelves as needed.

· Process incoming shipments using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory records.

· Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

· Coordinate freight transits, driver pick ups, and deliveries.

· Receive daily shipment from freight, UPS, FedEx, and customers.

· Deliver last minute/rush packages to freight hubs on rare occasion.

· Utilize basic math and reading skills to verify quantities and ensure accuracy in shipments.

· Follow all safety protocols while operating equipment within the warehouse.

Qualifications Experience / Skills

· Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in shipping & receiving roles.

· Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

· Able to safely drive fork trucks and complete safe training course.

· Ability to regularly lift and/or manipulate weighted packages up to 50 lbs.

· Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment practices.

· Experience using MRP systems such as AS400 is a plus.

· Proficiency in operating various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.

· Knowledge of packaging standards and procedures for safe transport of goods.

Working Conditions

· Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm, however, overtime as required is possible.
