Position Overview

The Vice President of Finance is a senior executive leader responsible for shaping and executing the financial strategy of the organization. This role serves as a critical business partner to the President and executive leadership team, overseeing all financial functions including strategic planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, compliance, and risk management. The Vice President drives financial excellence across the organization’s U.S. operations and ensures long-term fiscal health and value creation.

This leader operates with a blend of strategic vision and operational discipline—delivering insightful financial guidance, strengthening internal capabilities, and ensuring that the Finance function is an enabler of business growth and resilience. The role also includes close collaboration with enterprise-level finance leadership to ensure consistency with broader financial governance, standards, and systems.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Financial Planning

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the President and executive team on all financial matters, risk exposure, and business opportunities.

  • Lead long-term financial planning in alignment with company goals and market dynamics.

  • Deliver financial models, forecasts, and analysis to support strategic initiatives and capital investments.

  • Influence enterprise decision-making through financial data and business insights.

Financial Operations & Treasury Management

  • Oversee accounting, treasury, audit, tax, budgeting, forecasting, and insurance activities.

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory standards (GAAP, tax codes, etc.).

  • Manage cash flow, optimize capital structure, and ensure adequate funding and liquidity.

  • Maintain audit readiness and enforce strong internal controls and financial discipline.

Business Partnership & Performance Enablement

  • Collaborate with operational and functional leaders to assess financial performance and guide investments.

  • Lead budgeting cycles and implement metrics to monitor business health and accountability.

  • Provide decision support through scenario analysis, cost-benefit evaluations, and performance dashboards.

  • Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and M&A activity.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Oversight

  • Lead enterprise risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Uphold financial integrity and enforce ethical business practices.

  • Ensure governance frameworks are aligned with enterprise standards and internal policies.

  • Maintain open communication with board members, auditors, and financial institutions.

Organizational Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team that delivers excellence and innovation.

  • Provide leadership development, succession planning, and career growth opportunities for finance staff.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Champion best practices in talent management aligned with enterprise goals.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in Finance or Accounting, including executive-level roles.

  • CPA or CMA certification highly preferred but not required

  • Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial operations is required (OEM and/or Tier One)

  • Proven success in financial planning and analysis, treasury operations, capital investment, and risk management.

  • Track record of presenting financial strategy and results to senior executives and external stakeholders.

  • Experience implementing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced financial tools.

  • Strong executive presence with exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to lead through influence, build cross-functional relationships, and drive enterprise results.
