Job Title: Electrical & Electronics Warranty & Reliability Specialist
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan
Overview:
A leading organization in the Customer Experience field is seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronics Warranty & Reliability Specialist to join its Quality team at the Quality Engineering Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This position plays a critical role in managing and facilitating quality analysis reviews with suppliers and supplier quality departments, focusing on electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate onsite quality reviews with suppliers and supplier quality teams.
Analyze warranty return data and materials to identify emerging field issues, failure modes, and effects.
Support corrective action monitoring and warranty recovery processes.
Standardize manufacturing quality enablers across operations.
Coordinate and manage part return material activities for electrical and electronic systems.
Review and assess supplier testing procedures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
Leverage corporate data systems to track quality issues and verify resolution ("clean points").
Represent customer perspectives to internal platform teams.
Lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
Foster collaboration and partnerships internally and externally.
Manage and oversee daily activities of assigned UAW personnel.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive team success through clarity and accountability.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (e.g., Business Technical, Engineering Technology).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive industry (quality, service, or engineering roles).
Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data for reporting and decision-making.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple technical and business projects.
Experience with vehicle electrical systems, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
Skilled in Microsoft Office suite and general computer systems.
Experience in a unionized work environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead by example, challenge the status quo, and drive results.
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
High-level proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation development.
Experience with data and quality systems such as PRAS+, GIMs, and STLA platforms.
Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Quantic, Palantir).
Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma or equivalent methodology.
